Catastrophe struck in Bauchi State on Wednesday night when a second-year understudy of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), recognized as Yusuf Musa, was wounded to death.

A source near the casualty, talking on state of secrecy, told Sunday Punch, "Around three weeks back, Yusuf and his companion were passing a street near his home.
"They met Dauda with a woman, yet he (Dauda) did not permit them pass. Yusuf's companion then begun trading words with him (Dauda), yet instantly, Yusuf began begging him (Dauda) to permit them to go through.

Sunday Punch assembled that the denounced, on Monday, drove a gathering of five different attackers to Yusuf's home to ambush him. They were said to have returned on Wednesday however neighbors supposedly mediated.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Bauchi, Mahmood Mohammed, told Sunday Punch that the case had been exchanged to the state Criminal Investigation Department.
