He's known as "The Special One," yet now one of Chelsea's star players has uncovered a more perplexing picture of Jose Mourinho.

Diego Costa, the English Premier League champion's driving goalscorer last season, says the Chelsea administrator has a gentler side which couple of outside of the locker room ever get the opportunity to see.

"He is a man that lives, cherishes, battles and works - he is continually attempting to enhance," Costa enlightened CNN when asked regarding the 52-year-old.

"He is that individual that you see with the aspiration to be triumphant, the desire to win, the desire to wind up better.

"That is a point that has the effect - that aspiration to be superior to anything you were a year ago."

Mourinho drove Chelsea to the English title last season in the wake of returning for a brief moment spell in control at Stamford Bridge in 2013.

The Portuguese mentor is a standout amongst the best in the diversion having won two European Cups - first at Porto and after that at Inter Milan - while he has guaranteed household association titles in England, Italy, Spain and his local Portugal.While Costa discusses Mourinho's more pleasant nature and his "companionship" with players, the Chelsea director is not without his spoilers and the Portuguese's conduct outside of the home locker room has regularly been censured.

His touchline spats and contentions with officials are very much archived, outstandingly an episode with the late Tito Vilanova - the previous Barcelona chief - who Mourinho jabbed in the eye after a contention amid his time at Real Madrid.

No more abnormal to contention himself, Costa avoided remarking on Mourinho's past transgressions, rather liking to acclaim his mentor's more amicable nature.

"He is an exceptionally savvy mentor," Costa said in front of Chelsea's show match with Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls.

"He gives a ton to the players, he is a mentor that the players are near, which is a thing that is likewise exceptionally intriguing - his fellowship.

"He is dependably in the locker room, he is continually clowning, he is not this genuine individual that everybody sees outside of the pitch.

"He is a man, who is great for us inside the locker room. I think, similar to I said, that for us he is the best. For individuals outside its simply his way, I would prefer not to get into that.

"While he keeps on being what he is with us, that heavenly individual, and the superb mentor that he is, that is extraordinary."
   One of the allegations leveled at Mourinho and Chelsea last season was that its image of football was exhausting.

While Barcelona excited in Spain and Bayern Munich did in like manner in Germany, England's champion was frequently blamed for neglecting to enliven.

Furthermore, Mourinho was much of the time compelled to guard his side's style of play as Chelsea drew nearer and closer to the association title.

"A season is long and there will be periods where you'll be great and minutes where you won't be as great," Costa said.

"I surmise that what's imperative, and that is the reason I say our mentor is canny, in a minute when you're not as great, he picks the group in a manner that minimizes our possibilities of losing any focuses.

"The season is long, players get tired, there are minutes when players are in poorer structure and it is in those minutes that he demonstrations."
         
     Chelsea will confront a serious test to hold its crown in the nearing year with Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal all normal to challenge the champions.

Specifically United, which completed fourth a year ago, has selected intensely in the offseason, purchasing Germany World Cup victor Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern, France global midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton, $34 million forward Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven and protector Matteo Darmian from Torino.
